Lagos..... Home.

Lagos mummy here! First Post!!!

I am very excited to be writing this post.. it is err say about 3 years overdue. i first signed in to blogger.com to register this blog when i was pregnant with KM, well KM is now 2.5years old. * Hi my name is lagos mummy and i am THE procrastinator*

This is going to be really about the life with le husband ( we shall call him daddy KM, or DKM for short) Me and KM. We currently live in lagos Nigeria, i say currently because this could well change at any moment.

KM and i are British - Nigerians, and DKM is well Nigerian.

DKM and i have been married for 5 years, together for 11, we met when i was still living in london (where i grew up) and he was living in lagos ( where he grew up) and i was home on holidays.

We got married 5 years ago in a relatively small ceremony ( small by lagos standards 900 guests) HUGE anywhere else in the world), and settled into a little 3 bed apartment somewhere in lagos to begin this journey. For the two or so years we lived in that apartment, life was pretty much just about us, we walked around our apartment naked, we ate whatever we chose, we travelled spur of the moment and just enjoyed life!

Travel was what we did when one day i went to the gynecologist for a routine test after a holiday and found out i was 16 weeks pregnant! who goes through the first trimester without knowing they are knocked up! It was a complete surprise as we had planned to wait at least four years or so before trying for a baby, here we were 2 years into our marriage and well... two was about to be three.

Shortly before KM was born, we moved into a bigger 5 bedroom house, i know this seems like a lot of space for 2 and half people but i promise you i am now currently struggling for space in this house! * hi my name is lagos mummy and im a hoarder*

so there is my brief introduction. DKM and i are currently discussing if we are ready to start trying for baby number two, but as i am still torn up about giving up my career when i had KM, and wondering if i shouldnt go back to work for maybe a year before baby number two, we are still deliberating.

so This is my journey....
